Establishing a strong, consistent ASICS brand presence within JD that actively engages and connects with consumers.

D4R created a retail experience for ASICS at JD Sports, tailored to resonate with JD’s culturally connected, digitally engaged 16–24-year-old audience.

By modernising the gondolas, the project elevated the customer experience and created a cohesive brand environment that brought ASICS’ identity and performance story to life throughout the JD estate.

ASICS’ brand is built on four core values:

  • Minimalism brings focus and intentionality;
  • Authenticity connects to real athletes and moments;
  • Clarity delivers innovation with precision and simplicity;
  • Inspiration adds energy and creativity at every touchpoint.

 

Guided by those core values, we developed a premium, flexible retail concept for JD. A new digital screen delivered campaign storytelling while complementing the hero products.Each element was designed to adapt seamlessly across store layouts, ensuring brand impact at every touchpoint.

For this project, our designers, developers, and project managers work closely together to bring the vision to life.

This collaborative approach ensures we cover every aspect, from user experience and technical implementation to timelines and final delivery.

The final concept struck a balance between flexibility and authenticity by allowing elements to adapt to each store, while integrating ASICS’ Japanese characters in dark grey, a subtle nod to the brand’s heritage.

The result was a sleek, performance-led retail experience that resonated with JD’s audience, all while staying true to ASICS’ core brand values.
