If you have 3-5 yearsā experience delivering diverse retail projects (or similar) and a passion for design, manufacturing, visual communications, logistics, and detail, this is your opportunity to be part of a dynamic, collaborative agency where your impact is visible every day.
The Role
You could be managing a variety of retail design projects, from pop-ups and in-store activations to shop-in-shops and branded space rollouts, ensuring theyāre delivered on time, within budget, and to the high standards that D4R is known for.
Based at our Lutterworth HQ, we operate with a framework of 80% of the week office based and 20% remotely. The role also involves regional, national, and occasional international travel to visit clients, suppliers, and retail sites. You will manage your own time and work closely with the client services team throughout the business on a project by project basis. Projects can involve a short turn around into one retail location or a much longer lead time into multiple locations and formats. We try to match the right project manager with the job at hand matching skills and experience where possible and you will generally work as part of a team involving a Designer, Technical Designer, Installations Manager, Assembly team & Admin support.
What You Will Do
- Manage multiple fast-paced projects across retail and brand activation.
- Quote, plan, coordinate, and deliver projects from concept through to completion.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and internal teams.
- Lead meetings and site visits with confidence and professionalism.
- Anticipate challenges, identify solutions, and keep projects on track.
- Negotiate with suppliers, manage budgets, and ensure exceptional quality.
- Commit to project demands, including when required out-of-hours installations.
What We Are Looking For
- 3-5 yearsā experience managing retail or brand activation projects (UK and/or EU).
- Strong technical knowledge of manufacturing drawings, processes, and materials, but with an aptitude to learn from colleagues and experiences as you develop in the role.
- Experience using MS Office (especially Excel) and SAGE Job Cost or similar software.
- Understanding of Health & Safety, CDM regulations, and logistics for retail and events. However, training will be given on the job.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- A proactive, can-do attitude and the ability to juggle multiple priorities.
- Full UK driving license (maximum 6 points).
- Bonus: experience in beauty, home, footwear, sport, lifestyle, or fashion retail projects.
