EVE LOM
Creating a premium destination for skincare lovers
Whilst already a prominent brand in stores across the world, the luxury skincare brand, EVE LOM, was given the opportunity to launch its first branded counter in the iconic high-end retailer, Flannels. Following D4Rās close relationship with Flannels and our extensive experience supporting brands new to the retailer, we were introduced to EVE LOM to help deliver an exciting new counter at the Liverpool location.
Idea
The client called for a premium skincare destination that would allow the brand to showcase its sophisticated product range and further strengthen its relationship with customers of skincare and beauty in the UK. With the overall aim to provide a luxury shopping experience, we were entrusted with creating a skincare counter that embodies āThe fountain of EVE, in the garden of LOMā.
Insight
Contrasting the predominantly dark interior of Flannelsā busy Liverpool beauty hall, Design4Retail designed a sleek beauty counter befitting its luxury retail environment. The brandās selective yet premium and largely neutral colour palette consists of soft greys, gold ā to convey understated opulence ā and accents of mossy-green to reflect the garden of LOM and portray the brandās story. Mimicking fountains and spa-like interiors, delicate marble is a key feature in the design of this skincare counter to capture the brandās signature look.
Lighting was a very important aspect in the design rationale and included back-lit still-life and beauty
imagery, illuminated product displays, and lighting on the underside of the upper level to entice customers to explore the range and discover the products on the lower shelf below. Taking Flannelsā existing furniture into consideration, reflective panelling was applied to the background to complement the counterās stand, augmenting the illumination properties for a more radiant presentation. In addition, EVE LOMās unit was completely free dress which allowed for complete design flexibility, with the further benefit of being easily updatable for re-merchandising in the future.
Realisation
In keeping with EVE LOMās guidelines and Flannelsā underlying luxe aesthetic, Design4Retail created a skincare counter that was inspirational, aspirational, stood out in the multi-brand retailer, and above all, illustrative of the brandās ethos!
