Motion Graphic Designer (2-4 years experience)

Motion Graphic Designer
D4R is a leading creative retail design agency, working with some of the world’s most exciting global brands. Our multidisciplinary teams span creative, technical, production, implementation, and client service, enabling us to deliver award-winning work.
We’re now looking for an experienced Motion Graphic Designer to join us with a passion for both internal and client brand communications. Bringing a dynamic edge to our visual storytelling, you will help us maintain our reputation for a passionate and practical approach to design.
Our strategic, creative and detail driven methods ensure we solve any challenge across the retail design sphere. You will report to the Creative Directors and senior 2D/Brand team, while working closely with our Marketing and New Business teams to ensure our communications are visually consistent, compelling, and strategically aligned.
Role Summary
As a Motion Graphic Designer at D4R, you will:
- Play a central role in supporting our agency’s marketing and communications through high-impact, dynamic content.
- Create engaging, on-brand visuals and motion graphics for social media, presentations, marketing materials, and case studies.
- Drive our motion identity work, helping to define how the D4R brand moves and lives in digital
- Ensure consistency in our brand identity and visual language across all platforms, from static layouts to complex animations.
- Support and run client project work, particularly with 2D graphic and motion tasks, under the direction of the senior 2D team and creative directors.
- Collaborate with our 3D retail design team to bring campaign content, digital signage and brand story-telling to life in real shoppable spaces using digital
- Demonstrate knowledge of retail brands and best-in-class motion and static graphics as a conceptual thinker.
Key Responsibilites
Motion Identity & Digital Content
- Design and animate engaging content for Instagram, LinkedIn, and other platforms (posts, carousels, stories, reels).
- Develop and maintain a motion identity for the agency, ensuring all moving parts are on-brand and dynamic.
- Contribute creative ideas for campaigns that strengthen our digital presence through video and animation.
- Research and feed inspiration on design, retail, and social trends—specifically focusing on emerging motion trends—into our marketing content.
Key Responsibilites
Presentation & Visual Communication
- Work with established and evolving templates, layouts, and visual assets for internal and external presentations, within InDesign, illustrator and Photoshop.
- Support the marketing team with eye-catching, accurate, and professional pitch decks that blend static graphics with embedded motion elements.
- Support the wider creative team helping to sell our concepts (2D & 3D) in crafted, dynamic presentations.
- Create graphics that communicate clearly and with impact, displaying an adept grasp of the latest and timeless graphic techniques.
Key Responsibilites
Client Project Support
- Assist with 2D and motion design tasks for live projects.
- Confidently work on graphic & brand led projects, with the guidance and support of the 2D Senior team and direction from the creative directors.
- Prepare and organize design files and assets (both static and motion) for client delivery.
- Support project work with relevant research examples.
Internal Marketing & Brand Presence
- Work closely with Marketing and New Business teams to design marketing materials, case studies, proposals, and pitch decks.
- Create compelling visuals and motion content for our website, social channels, and marketing campaigns, as well as keeping our digital content on physical screens around the D4R estate updated.
- Ensure brand consistency and accuracy across all D4R communications.
Key Responsibilites
Proofing & Attention to Detail
- Maintain a keen eye for detail when creating design and motion outputs.
- Show strong self-discipline in proof-reading, checking layouts, and reviewing content to minimise errors before publication.
- Support the artwork team by creating print-ready graphics on your projects when required.
Skills and Qualifications
Essential:
-
- 2 – 4 years of experience in a graphic design or motion
- Strong skill in motion graphics (Adobe After Effects and Premiere Pro) with a portfolio demonstrating dynamic content.
- Expert knowledge of graphic design principles, layout, and
- Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop).
- Strong communication skills (visual, written, and verbal).
- Excellent attention to detail, proof-reading, and accuracy in design and motion
- Goodtime management and ability to meet
Advantageous:
- Photo and video shoot experience highly beneficial, to facilitate and guide videographers & photographers to capture the content we need to promote the agency via marketing channels.
- Knowledge of design for both static and motion digital
