Pantone Studio app makes creating colour palettes simpler _
Pantone have released an app that aims to make creating colour palettes simpler. Pantone who are the global authority on colour and provider of professional colour standards, have launched the Pantone studio app that is currently only available on iOS for iPhone.
Pantone have a library of more than 10,000 hues to choose from ranging from graphic to fashion colours, and this app offers a more flexible way of creating and customising colour palettes. Designed by Rokkan, the app delivers great convenience and accessibility in retrieving Pantone colours from all around you.
It so simple to use, there is an eyedropper tool that allows you to upload photos and create customer palettes of up to five colours. The colour picker delivers data in RGB, CYMK and Hex values and also suggest other colours to go with your selected hues.
You can view your individual colours in different scenarios such as graphics, typography and also allows you to see the colour swatches digitised as pliable 3D papers and fabrics to see how the colour would look like in real life. Palettes can then be shared with friends and family on social media platforms such as Instagram and Facebook and is also sent on to Adobe Creative Cloud.
The app is available for free on a basic version, but to access the whole library a more detailed subscription model is available for £5.99 monthly or £44.99 annually. Plans for the app to be developed for iPad, Android, Windows and Mac OS are in progress.
