We have been running a successful student internship programme for the last few years for 3D designers but we have now broadened this to 2D design and a marketing placement. We offer internships to design students on a 4 year relevant course for a year. We can also offer short term placements. These will always be advertised on our website but we do consider all CV’s.
Internships and placements are a great way of learning how businesses work and more importantly if it’s the correct career for you. This could also lead to a permanent position in the future or having had some experience will make employment easier. Above all you learn how to work well as part of a team in a fast paced, demanding environment which will stand you in good stead for your future endeavors!
We work in an industry where Brand image is everything. All our retail design concepts are created to deliver high returns for our client’s campaigns. This can mean using lots of innovative materials and at times travelling far and wide!
However while we busily deliver in-store solutions we are very conscious of our ‘carbon thumbprint’ so we endeavor to design responsibly whenever possible….. from recycled packaging to sustainable in-store materials and finishes.
It’s not an easy task, but we strive to promote environmental awareness and responsibility amongst clients, suppliers and employees alike. Whilst we don’t claim to be experts on the environment we are making big steps in doing our bit.
All computers are fitted with an eco-mode, energy efficient light bulbs are now used, we encourage staff not to print where possible, an efficient hot water tap has been installed to replace the kettle, we take trains instead of cars where possible, have included eco design as a topic on our blog, we talk through environmental material options with suppliers and clients and we use local suppliers where possible.
