BP REFINERY IN ROTTERDAM

Posted by D4R
Dutch architect company GROUP A have completed a multi-storey office complex for petroleum brand BP in Rotterdam which is situated right next to the company’s refinery.
We really like the way architect company Group A have integrated the building into the landscape, not just from an aesthetic perspective but also from a safety viewpoint as it shields workers within the buildings from the risk of potential explosions from the refinery.
The interior design is equally compelling with glass fixtures and wooden elements in place which creates a spacious and airy environment. Natural lighting shines through the building and a simple colour palette has been used throughout. The overall concept is beautiful inside and out.

It's interesting how they built it into the natural landscape. Very Mayan-ish. Thank you for sharing this - love the photos and new format for your blog.
