Midlands based retail interior design specialists Design4Retail have helped to develop the snow, surf and street retailer, Two Seasons' brand identity with the opening of its latest store in Newbury next week. This will be the brand's 14th store, ahead of the planned opening of a new Cardiff store later next year.
Having previously supported store openings during throughout 2006 and 2007, Design4Retail have continued to work closely with Two Seasons, often being asked to help assess the potential new store locations with Managing Director, Stuart Roberts.
Tim Howitt, Director, Design4Retail, comments: "The Two Seasons brand has reputation as a destination specialist store for winter and summer fashion, snow sports clothing, accessories and equipment. Our role has been to help evolve the brand identity through the design and development of the new and existing store environments.
"The credibility of the Two Seasons brand is built on not only the strength of the brands within it, but as importantly, is the attitude and enthusiasm of over 150 staff who work across the stores. Getting the store design right is an integral part of the support and motivation for the staff, which in turn ensures that the customer experience is exceptional."
"The Newbury store will feature the introduction of the new black and red store facia, which is carried through to the interior fit out and even to the store's tags and bags. The challenge with Newbury was to take what is effectively two 1970's shop fronts' and combine them into a single prime high street locality.
"The other design challenge was how to create some excitement within a low ceiling box shaped interior; this was overcome by breaking up the space through the careful use of low and high level fixturing. We also introduced a central axis with a full height retail system to create an eye catching focal point facing the front of the store. The use of slate and timber floor finishes and large format backdrop graphics also helped to segment the different product areas."
As well as handling the retail interior design, Design4Retail have also supplied the retail merchandising system for the entire store. The fit out has been managed by shop fitting specialists Blueridge Contracts, who have also worked with the team on previous stores last year.
