Designer footwear brand Lacoste has selected Leicestershire based retail design specialists, design4retail to create a new footwear point-of-sale (POS) merchandise system to be introduced globally.
The new POS which will be rolled-out from August has been designed so it can easily display merchandise in Lacoste’s network of independent retailers own. Design4retail has created a sleek contemporary display system that has been designed to reflect the brand’s premium values. All elements feature the famous crocodile logo on the classic white background, together with a high gloss finish.
Sailesh Parekh, New Business Development Manager, Design4Retail, comments: “We are pleased to have been asked once again to support Lacoste – our brief was to design generic POS to effectively enhance and display the wide variety of both men’s and women’s footwear across the Lacoste footwear range from sports, sports wear to formal styles.
“As the POS will be going into a broad range of store environments, it also has to be flexible enough so it can be used in a window display or as a focal point in the store itself on a shelf or table-top providing an engaging centre piece. Our design team responded by creating a tiered shelf display with accompanying ‘branding block’ and slatwall shoe shelves. The overall objective was to contribute to the premium qualities of the Lacoste brand and footwear within a retail environment”
“Lacoste is a premium brand so we wanted to use materials that would reflect this. The POS has been injection moulded so it can be effectively produced in large numbers and is finished in a beautiful high gloss. With the distinctive ‘branding block’ we also introduced a heavy section of gloss acrylic to deliver a subtle but strong brand presence in-store.”
