Retail design specialists, Design4Retail and French cosmetics brand, Clarins UK will be literally stopping shoppers in their tracks with their ‘Stop when you see red!’ stand promoting Clarins professional beauty treatments.

‘Stop when you see red!’ is a Clarins UK marketing concept that aims to STOP new customers, PAUSE with a free neck and shoulder massage and GLOW when booking a treatment . Clarins merchandising department chose to collaborate with Design4Retail for the production of this promotion in order to get a strong premium finish to the display.

Jon Vinall, Director, Design4Retail, said: “We are pleased to have been chosen for this latest Clarins promotion to be featured in one of Britain’s busiest retail stores. It has been designed so it can either be sited in a cosmetics hall or as a stand alone display in a shopping centre.

“The fixture itself is a black MDF wall that provides an effective backdrop and houses large internal traffic lights in red, amber and green that flash in sequence with the key messages ‘stop’ ‘pause’ and ‘glow’. On the stand there are treatment chairs to complement the overall theme and encourage customer trial.

“But perhaps most striking of all is the luxurious deep carpet which is in bold black and white stripes to replicate a zebra crossing. At each end of the stand are stylised traffic lights that provide extra interest and podiums offering free traffic light coloured lollipops.”

Following House of Fraser’s Manchester store this week, the promotional site will also be used at selected mall locations and department stores across the UK.
