Design4Retail To Launch Merrell’s Outdoor Footwear POP.Friday, 08 February 2008

Design4Retail, the retail design specialists have been awarded the contract to create new point-of-purchase (POP) material to support Merrell’s highly successful footwear range. The new POP will be launched in outdoor retailer’s Blacks stores from late February.

This latest contract comes only a few months after Design4Retail successfully trialled a shop in shop display system to support the launch of Merrell Apparel which will also be rolled out nationwide in February.

Design4Retail’s POP material will once again combine both clothing and apparel ranges by using powerful graphics to deliver the excitement of the outdoors to Merrell products, creating for customers the ‘feel’ of a Merrell store within a store.

Tim Howitt, Director, Design4Retail, said: “We are really pleased to be working for Merrell on this latest project, this is a great opportunity to build on the work we have already done with the Apparel brand by delivering a range of eye catching POP footwear material to reinforce Merrell’s position as a brand leader”

This latest range uses the same outdoors graphics theme featured in the Apparel shop in shop system and includes: clear acrylic branded round blocks for featuring ‘hero’ footwear products at the POP; clear Merrell branded graphic folders for displaying sales collateral; slat-wall steel shelves with a laser cut logo; a funky free standing, brightly coloured kids’ unit for displaying a variety of footwear; striking Merrell rubber floor mats and matching branded foot stools for trying on footwear.

To add further interest, a bus stop sign with a full floor to ceiling hanging banner will also be introduced with interchangeable double sided outdoor graphics. To complement this, Design4Retail has created free standing footwear stands with Merrell’s branded headers and a clip-on shoe wire that will easily display selected products.
